GM - finance and accounts:
The primary purpose of this role is to lead the financial, accounting, taxation, budget and budgetary control, costing etc., responsibilities for the holding/associate and operating companies in all business verticals. GM - finance and accounts has the responsibility for managing financial sustainability, driving financial performance & maximizing return on investment for the entity apart from managing control function/accounting. The role will provide strategic financial advice and counsel to the Designated partners/Board of Directors and will play a pivotal role in formulating future financial strategies as well as managing the current overall entity/s P&L , B/S , MIS and the existing Finance & Accounting team. This role will report into the Managing partner/s or MD and will be based out of Bangalore. Responsibilities: Financial Control: Responsibility to ensure that appropriate systems and processes are in place across the respective entity/s and businesses. This includes but is not limited to : MIS Reporting, Treasury & Cash Management, Debt Facilities, Risk Management and Audits, Tax Compliance, Insurance, Contract Management and Terms of Trade & Accounting Projects & Analysis. Brief Details 1. Financial Strategy and Planning:
• Develops long-term financial plans and forecasts based on market trends, property valuations, and investment opportunities.
• Oversees capital allocation decisions, optimizing financial resources for project development, GCP, land acquisitions, capital assets, Working capital for operations etc.
• Creates financial models to assess the feasibility and profitability of potential real estate developments/investments.
2. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
• Ensures accurate and timely financial reporting under industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manages external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
• Implements strong internal controls to safeguard financial assets and mitigate fraud risks.
3. Risk Management and Capital Structure:
• Identifies and assesses financial risks associated with real estate investments, including market fluctuations, interest rate changes, and tenant occupancy rates.
• Develops strategies to mitigate risk, including diversification of holdings and hedging strategies.
• Optimizes the company's capital structure by managing debt levels and securing funding through various sources (equity, loans, etc.)
4. Investor Relations and Fundraising:
• GM-Finance and accounts plays a crucial role in investor relations of the entity. Hence, I need to manage communication with investors, analysts, and investment banks.
• Develops investor presentations that showcase the company's financial performance, growth potential, and investment opportunities.
• Leads fundraising efforts to secure capital for acquisitions, developments, and other strategic initiatives.
5. Technology and Innovation:
• Evaluate and implement financial technology solutions to streamline accounting processes, automate tasks, and improve data analysis.
• Uses data analysis to obtain a more profound understanding of market trends, tenant conduct, and property performance.
• Advocates for innovative technologies that enhance financial modeling, risk management, and investment decisions.
Book-keeping and preparation, finalization and interpretation of financial statements, Audit coordination, RERA compliance:• Responsible for day-to-day book-keeping, B/R, B/P, internal checks and controls.
• Manage the direct and indirect taxation and planning.
• Responsible for the establishment of IFC and required SOP, methods and systems.
• Reporting regular information ( MIS ) to TOP management for decision making
### Requirements
Qualification:
• CA/CMA with 15-20 years of experience with a Minimum of 10 years in Real Estate Finance.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Maturity to work with multiple stakeholders in a high growth environment and deliver results.
• Reporting to MD/ Director/ Partners.
