About the Job


The procurement function aims at enabling the Sanofi strategy by leveraging the supplier markets and delivering added value throughout operations performed within Central and Global pillars of its organization. To boost procurement efficiency and performance, the Procurement organization fosters the right level of globalization through a category management oriented operating model leveraging the management of resources through competencies, internal mobility, and talent development.

Main responsibilities:

• Job purpose: Develop, execute, and implement sourcing strategy for India as well as other assigned countries under the guidance of the Line Manager and the Global Lead Buyers in a collaboration way. Manage supplier relationship aiming to stimulate the access to innovative and "best in class" external solutions. Establish strong internal business partnering with relevant end-users. Work with Procurement Service to provide seamless Source to Pay (end to end) approach. Ensure compliance with the Procurement policies and company guidelines. Escalate issues and market challenges within the procurement network and business partners internally.
• Strategy: Plan and consolidate business need for internal customers by spend categories. Apply global/local category sourcing strategy aligned on budget. Proactively provide information on local business needs and supplier market intelligence related to category. Build & execute competitive and innovative local category strategies under the guidance of global category management. Based on market intelligence, assess supplier risks and opportunities.
• Operation: Implement Category Key Performance Indicators and follow-up. Deliver local savings targets. Challenge business requirements (smart spending).Select supplier as per country requirements: Identify potential suppliers, If applicable, conduct bidding (RFI, RFP, RFQ),Negotiate contracts, optimize existing agreements. Formalize final contract with appropriate legal experts. Manage interactions with suppliers, evaluate supplier performance and internal customer satisfaction. Provides when relevant, pre-sourcing guidance to purchasing agents to streamline Procurement service process Apply Procurement technical excellence (TCO, SRM, Market Intel, Risk Management, CSR, HSE, compliance, quality, e-Catalogue ...). Act in compliance with the best practices, policies and guidelines.
• Business Partnering Ensure business partnering with all business stakeholders and collaborating with procurement peers.

About you

• Experience: experience in relevant M&S sourcing.
• Soft and Technical Skills: Open minded, resourceful, creative, flexible, and result oriented, Strong ethical behavior.
• Education : BS/BA or international university degree required, MS/MBA, Ph.D., desirable but not mandatory, Degree in science, economics, or business-related fields
• Language: Fluent verbal and written ability with English.
