JOB DESCRIPTION
Markets Securities Operations is responsible for settlement, clearance, and asset servicing functions across all asset classes globally. The group consists of three core teams: Broker Dealer Settlement Operations, Markets Asset Services, and Trading Services Operations. Each year Securities Operations processes over 1.5 billion securities settlements & exchange executions, 2 million margin related collateral moves and issues over 40 million client statements across more than 70 markets including Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Canada, Spain, Middle East, and North Africa.
Team description and context:
Under Markets Securities Operations, the stock record management team is responsible for reconciliation and reporting of stock breaks. The team also processes entries to suspense and client accounts thereby ensuring positions are accurately managed and any identified breaks are resolved in a timely and accurate manner. By performing the reconciliation function, the team doubles up as a control unit highlighting any deviations from normal process.

Associate Reconciliations, reporting into Vice President, Stock Record Project lead.

Responsibilities of the role:
The incumbent will be responsible for
• Lead/Drive Transformation Projects for Markets Securities Stock record operations
• Build/Enhance Reconciliations Platform for Stock record operations. Work on building new processes as diverse products are added on an on-going basis.
• Project Management - including Roadmap, Planning, Review , testing and Implementation with robust project plan , utilizing the project management methodologies.,
• Stakeholder Management -Work closely with various project stakeholders like Product teams, Process Engineers, Reporting and Integration , Technology, Risk and Control to define business requirements , planning and Implementation.
• Strategic Planning- Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans for the reconciliation team, aligning with broader organizational goals.
• Automation - Identify Automation opportunities , develop solution using various Automation and strategic tools
• Discrepancy Analysis- Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records, working closely with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
• Resolution - Provide solutions and action plans for resolutions of open items.
• Prioritization of requirements and initiatives
• Management Reporting - Develop Management Reports, provide updates to senior management and stakeholders on regular basis
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
• Relevant knowledge and experience in Reconciliations or Projects related to Reconciliations or similar function of a banking/financial services organization for 10+ years.
• Strong working knowledge on the Reconciliation tool (iRecs)
• Proven experience in Project management/ Business Analysis/Platform build/Operational changes/system development and Automation related to Reconciliations
• Strong knowledge and experience in Reconciliations Operations dealing with operational process, controls and problem solving.
• Diverse product knowledge, with an ability to develop an understanding of new products
• Identify critical requirements and potential gaps by understanding /Deep Dive of the processes.
• Ability to work under considerable time pressure, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality
• Strong analytical skills to analyze the information, identify the problems, and work towards finding the solutions
• Ability to multi-task and deliver against tight deadlines
• Understanding of International and US Domestic market settlements is an added advantage
• Understanding of FINRA, FCA and ICMA rules will be a significant advantage
