Information Security (InfoSec) - InfoSec prevents, detects, responds, and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems. Supply Chain Services (SCS) - brings a consistent approach, negotiating and managing contracts across EY, including procurement, vendor management (EY calls this Supplier Ecosystem Services) right through to accounts payable. Software Asset Management at EY is part of the above EY Technology team, accountable for targeted optimisation of complex, high value software contracts which underpin our business. Our services are provided to EY service lines, CT, ET and Infosec, in the form of advice, projects and ongoing services. The Role EY Technology seeks an experienced Cloud/SaaS Software Licensing specialist to help us drive the maximum value from these specialized contracts. Main areas of responsibility will initially include contract terms review, handling the processes, set up and operation of licensing and access portals, optimizing use profiles for least cost highest value plus driving out reporting and controlling security risks connected to data residence and access controls. It will also include service management aspects relating to the hosted services being provided, ensuring our users are receiving an effective service. Reporting to the Global Software Asset Manager, you will work both independently and within a wider team of SAM and licensing experts. The successful candidate will need to handle licensing related matters, but also to define and be part of various governance and SAM process initiatives as part of an integrated team, including finance, procurement, and technical personnel. Your key responsibilities
Assess contracts relating to scope, terms, restrictions and ensure these are captured, understood, and applied to the use of the online service for EYs optimal value return.
Understand the products provided, the various options, SKUs, access levels and bundling available
Portal management of onboarded SaaS Applications. Managing user access, usage reporting, and billing validation.
Own day to day SaaS Ops portal management activities including enquiry management. Ensuring users get the right level of access to the portal.
Assist in administrating the assignment and cost recovery of applications, collaborating with product managers, budget holders and internal customers.
Ensure the performance of the application and access to it is fit for purposes and act as an escalation point where this is affecting users
Work with the vendor manager (where this role is present for the given vendor) to optimize the contract and its entitlements
Maximise the value of commitments to contracts, harvesting unused licenses/services and ensuring maximum availability.
Collaborate with vendor support and commercial teams where there are service-related challenges such as performance or availability issues, fully understanding mutual obligations in the contract.
Design and maintain reports required by internal stakeholders and for purposes of vendor reporting and/or billing.
Work with portal-based tools which may be required and their related APIs to allow fast and efficient administration of applications.
Continuously optimize governance and best practices for application adoption, license provisioning, security, privacy, and user on- and off-boarding.
Skills and attributes for success To qualify for the role, you must have
6 + years of proven experience in License Management working in large corporate environment
Knowledge and understanding of software licensing terms and conditions including service centric contracts (support/maintenance and SaaS)
Experience with Software Vendors license management portal and other cloud technologies/services.
Experience in managing online access to applications and infrastructure
Ability to identify cost saving opportunities and optimisation
Ideally, youll also have.
Knowledge of Microsoft application families, Azure concepts, and related product user rights for all product families
Experience working directly with major vendor commercial personnel
Recognized professional qualifications such as: ITILv3; CITAM; CSAM
Big 4 experience and training
Experience of working internationally and virtually
