As a part of our continued expansion at Targray, we are seeking to hire a Global Procurement and Vendor Manager. The role will be responsible for ensuring the cost-effective purchase of all materials and services, whilst ensuring quality control and compliance with the Company s policies and procedures. It will also include vendor management and responsibility to identify and along with the Battery team assess new vendors. This role will be based at our regional office in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. Responsibilities Lead purchasing activities in collaboration with Battery team members. Close collaboration with all Sales team members and Operations on timely data availability and accuracy Knowledge on supply chain processes across all countries, key performance indicators, local policies Lead price negotiations for products, responsible for final resolution of all contractual agreements. Initiate and manage long term agreements and contracts with vendors as required. Monitor project and provide support to solve issues. Contribute proactively to align supplier selection with customers. Understand supplier product line / capacity / availability / lead time and share with team members as required. Closely monitor market developments, new potential suppliers, prices, regulations across all countries and their impact on Group procurement plan Drive projects on standardization, benchmarking, sustainability, digital tools implementation. Coordinate and monitor progress for procurement initiatives. Assist with projects on sustainable procurement, standardization, digital tools. Requirements Education: Engineering bachelor s or master s degree, MBA is a plus. Job Related Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7+ years of experience in a Purchasing/Sourcing team for a multinational corporation. Experience in product development purchasing in renewable energy field. Business Understanding: Knowledge of components development, supply chain experience and understanding, with industrial product application. Close monitoring on market developments, prices, regulations across all countries and their impact on Group procurement plan Experience in Battery materials or Lithium-Ion Battery industry would be an asset. Experience in research to identify new suppliers. Ability to conduct data analysis, maintain spreadsheets based on customer feedback. Excellent report preparation and presentation skills. Knowledge on analysis tools will be added advantage. Experience working with European and / or Asian companies (China, Korea, Japan, Germany). Soft skills: Lead by example on values and culture. A natural team player whose personality and communication skills instil a sense of credibility and trust. Cost conscious. Ability to communicate openly and effectively with a variety of Business Stakeholders and IT colleagues. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
