Global Payroll & Benefits Specialist

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the administration and execution of Payroll and Benefits in India, Canada, USA (multi-state), UK and Ireland. Additional locations may come into play over the course of time. You will thrive on providing organization and structure in a fast moving, multitasking environment filled with new and sometimes unexpected challenges. The ideal candidate is someone who works with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, possesses excellent communication skills, is comfortable working with a variety of people, has strong excel and accounting skills and is able to meet deadlines.?

Responsibilities

• Administer all aspects of the payroll process including adding hires, pro-rations, employee changes, termination calculations, benefits elections, upload files, reconciliations.
• Monitoring and distribution of emails from payroll inbox
• Field general payroll and benefit inquiries
• Assist with payroll and benefits data entry and tracking
• Benefits Reconciliations and follow-up on discrepancies (monthly)
• Regular communication and partnership with the Benefits brokers and Human Resources team on employee specific issues
• Ensure all documentation for the employees' files related to payroll and benefits are complete and filed (soft copies)
• Assist with annual audits, reports, ad hoc requests for information, projects and testing as required

Requirements

• 3-5 years related experience in payroll and benefits administration - group benefits, pensions, India Provident Fund, other retirement funds such a 401K, RRSP and pensions experience is preferred, stock options is considered an asset
• Working towards or completion of a relevant Payroll designation such as CPP (American Payroll Association) or PCP (Canadian Payroll Association)
• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce and ADP is preferred
• Practical knowledge and experience of monthly and annual EHT and WSIB filings, US Federal, State and locality taxes - is considered an asset
• India plus either Canada or USA Payroll experience is required, global payroll is considered an asset
• Post-secondary education in business, accounting, human resources, or related experience
• Experience in the technology industry would be considered an asset
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail is a must
• Ability to work in fast-paced and demanding environment
• Excellent inter-personal skills
• Self-starter with proven time management and organizational abilities
• Accounting background or experience
• Strong excel skills
• Proficient in English, with the ability to engage effectively in both verbal and written communication
