Job Background/context: MONET team is responsible for the design and build-out (and ongoing support) of a global, multi-product, multi-entity operational margin system used to service our ICG business areas. Our system is built using state of the art design and technologies, runs 24 x 6, processes a billion+ transactions monthly, services 200+ users and interacts with 50+ systems in batch and real-time. We provide a variety of utilities (online, workflow, electronic, reporting) to facilitate a scalable and controlled operational environment for our clients. Candidate will work independently and is highly sel- motivated. Applies skills and knowledge of the business to develop creative solutions to meet client and business needs. The candidatewill work with complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources. The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Responsibilities: Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications. Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. Co-ordination with DBA to perform DB related activities Handling Database release management Handling Database related documentation of processes / requests Working with DBA / Team on DB Infrastructure related changes Knowledge/Experience: 6+ years of experience Detailed hands-on experience with physical data-modeling Detailed hands-on experience with SQL tuning and optimization Detailed hands-on experience with partitioning Detailed hands-on experience with optimal tablespace management Detailed hands-on experience with space management utilities/commands such as direct path loading, shrink, compress, etc. Detailed hands-on experience in building and supporting real-world large volume and real time applications based on Oracle Working knowledge of Oracle 11g features Working knowledge of AWR reports Working knowledge of UNIX/LINUX (RedHat), shell scripting, and commands to check system stats/health.
