Ops Group Description:

The Global Fund Administration department (\xe2\x80\x9cGFA\xe2\x80\x9d) is responsible for the oversight of approximately 600 pooled investment vehicles domiciled in the US, Luxembourg, Cayman Islands, as well as other global jurisdictions. These investment vehicles include 1940 Act mutual funds, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), Collective Investment Trusts (CITs), Luxembourg UCITS & AIFs, UK OEICs, Delaware Business Trusts (DBTs), hedge funds and alternative & structured products.

GFA has staff in the US, Luxembourg and Pune who oversee the day to day Net Asset Value (\xe2\x80\x9cNAV\xe2\x80\x9d) calculation as well as the regulatory and client reporting requirements for each product and distribution channel. GFA also provides support and guidance to AB\xe2\x80\x99s business units including Portfolio Management, Legal & Compliance, Product Management & Development, Marketing, Sales, Transfer Agent, Investor Relations as well as external business partners.

Ops :

We are seeking a [ Pune, India ] based candidate to fill a [ Fund Administration Project Lead ] role within Global Fund Administration.

Describe the role:

The Fund Administration Project Lead plays a critical role facilitating department wide requests (both internal and external) across multiple product lines. The role supports various risk processes and control functions within GFA as well as assists Product Development with new fund launches. The position will require a candidate that will multi-task, problem solve & troubleshoot, analyze and effectively communicate. The role is also expected to interact with and manage external business partners as well as initiate and lead process improvement initiatives. The role entails ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of deliverables as well as ensuring all requirements of our internal and external customers are managed efficiently and effectively.

Describe the applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports:

GFA supports all activities associated with pooled investment vehicles for the firm. GFA\xe2\x80\x99s mission is to provide \xe2\x80\x9cBest in Class Service\xe2\x80\x9d to each of our internal and external customers which includes, but not limited to, Portfolio Management, Legal & Compliance, Product Management & Development, Marketing, Sales, Transfer Agent, Investor Relations and business partners such as administrators and audit firms.

The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Fulfillment of customer requests
• Budgeting and trend analysis
• System enhancements
• New product development
• Coordinate annual regulatory reviews
• Project management
• Review process/procedures and initiate improvements
• Document/amend procedures where necessary
• Prepare various reports for executive management and the fund\xe2\x80\x99s board of directors.

Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following):

Qualifications, Experience, Education:

The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the mutual fund or finance industry as well as a 4 year college degree with a business major (preferably accounting or finance). Experience with a fund administrator or audit firm is preferred.

Skills:

The candidate should have proficient accounting knowledge, preferably in fund valuation, fund administration and regulatory requirements. The role requires excellent analytical skills, communication skills, organizational skills and problem solving skills.

The candidate should possess proficiency in standard desktop applications such as Excel, Outlook, Word. Advanced Excel skills such as pivot tables and macro writing would be a plus.

Special Knowledge (if applicable):

Familiarity with review of annual reports, tax reporting and regulatory requirements would be beneficial.

Experience in process and operations risk management is preferred.
