  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in accounting & finance, or a related field, good bookkeeping, and accounting skills
  • At least 5 years of work experience in accounting and Finance
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as Maconomy, NetSuite, or similar platforms
  • Strong skills in Excel, with experience using MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Technical systems aptitude - rapid on-the-job learning ability to work with various financial systems.
  • Ability to work independently with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
  • Proficient in English communication written and verbal
  • Work independently with minimum supervision

WHAT YOU WILL DO AND HOW YOU WILL GROWWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our organization's Finance System and support with the overall finance function and processes. The Finance Associate will play a crucial role in implementing, managing, and maintaining our systems to meet the needs of our business operations.Key responsibilities:xe2x9exa2 Project Accounting
  • Prepare and maintain draft project reports for all regions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Review time entries, expenses, and invoices on all draft reports, identifying and addressing discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Partners to clarify any variances and ensure entries adhere to global guidelines and policies.
  • Work closely with regional finance teams, Project Managers, and Partners to facilitate accurate and timely data updates.
  • Finalize project drafts across regions, ensuring records are accurate and compliant with standard guidelines.
  • Regularly review and update standard guidelines and policies to align with evolving requirements.
  • Track the status of all projects (billable/non-billable) to ensure up-to-date and accurate records.
  • Maconomy ERP Support: Provide global-level support for the Projects on Maconomy ERP.
  • Conduct testing on system modules during upgrades to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Provide training to staff on project accounting.
  • Resolve queries and requests from global staff related to project accounting.

  • Assist in creating and sharing a comprehensive report on Excel, Power BI, AI and other tools.
  • Assist with automating processes by designing more structured templates.
  • Experiment with different existing reports/ templates and assist in making updates to address new requirements.

  • Support the Finance Manager as needed in various tasks and projects.
  • Support a range of finance and administrative tasks and ad-hoc activities across finance functions working closely with fellow GSS and regional finance team members.

In addition, Dalberg Consultants worked on creating the world's largest public, freely available dataset on national digital ID in India and have previously traveled for work to a mine in a jungle in Indonesia, to refugee camps in remote parts of Kenya, and to the border of Nepal looking at trafficking transport chains.
