Global Customs & Trade Team is part of the Engineering & Business Service Center, it is spearheading the efforts to enhance and develop the Customs & Trade Compliance Processes within Vestas to the next level of excellence. The Global Trade & Customs Team works in association with internal and external stakeholders on various path-breaking initiatives, such as Customs Cost-Out, AEO Certification, Trade-related strategic development initiatives etc., and is in a constant endeavor to add value to the organization through its various initiatives and programs. In addition to the development initiatives, the Global Customs & Trade Team is also supporting documentation related activities, such as European Union Trade Documentation & Customs Documentation & Services, with an objective to support the Customs & Trade-related transactional and documentation activities in an efficient and effective manner.

Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customs and Trade Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the customs and trade department and assisting in processing and coordination of import/export activities. This is an entry-level position suitable for candidates with 0 to 3 years of experience in customs and trade.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
  • Manage global customs and trade compliance processes, ensuring adherence to all applicable customs regulations and requirements
  • Ensure all import/export documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with customs regulations
  • Provide support to internal teams on customs and trade compliance issues, including tariff classifications, customs valuation, and country of origin rules
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of customs declarations and filings with relevant authorities
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global trade regulations and requirements, and monitor changes to trade policies and customs regulations
  • Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to coordinate the clearance of goods through customs and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other external service providers
  • Support in periodic internal audits to identify potential customs and trade compliance issues and implement corrective actions as necessary


Qualifications
  • Graduate / Post-Graduate from a reputed Institute or University preferably in International Business, Supply Chain or related field
  • Around 2-5 years of experience in Customs, Trade Compliance and Documentation area
  • Knowledge of US, EU and APAC Import / export regulations and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge & Experience in customs clearance, import/export documentation and trade compliance management
  • Knowledge & Experience in HS (Tariff) classification, customs valuation and country of origin Determination
  • Good knowledge of import / export procedures, customs regulations, Free Trade Agreements, Rules of Origin, Import Duties and taxes, International Regulations


Competencies:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively to resolve complex customs and trade compliance issues
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization\xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with customs compliance software and SAP systems is a plus
