Global Credit Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing the credit control function on a global scale within the organization. This position involves developing and implementing credit control policies, strategies, and procedures to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts, minimize credit risk, and maintain a healthy cash flow. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive effective credit control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Credit Control Strategy:
- Develop, implement, and manage global credit control strategies and policies to minimize credit risk.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to credit control processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
2. Credit Risk Management:
- Assess and monitor credit risk across the organization.
- Establish and maintain credit limits for customers, taking into account financial stability and creditworthiness.
3. Collections Management:
- Oversee the timely and effective collection of outstanding debts from customers.
- Develop and implement collection strategies, negotiating payment terms when necessary.
4. Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and other relevant departments to address credit-related issues and ensure a coordinated approach.
- Communicate credit policies and procedures to internal stakeholders and external customers.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular reports on credit control performance, outstanding debts, and other relevant metrics to senior management.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in credit control processes.
6. Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local and international credit regulations and standards.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in credit-related laws.
7. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key customers to facilitate effective credit control.
