ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The GL Accountant will be a key member of The Knot World Wide\'s Global Accounting Team. Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, you will be responsible for accounting of Receivables, Payables, General Accounting, ability to post accounting entries and perform reconciliations etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in processing Receivables, Payables and General Accounting entries.
• Assist in performing various reconciliations.
• Efficiently manage information requests with cross-functional teams within the organization to ensure timely and accurate accounting.
• Provide creative input that will drive greater efficiency and value to the global close process.
• Keep up to date on industry and business trends significant to the profession and remain current on new and upcoming accounting guidance issued by the applicable accounting authorities.
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and accounting policy developments and support implementation efforts including required disclosures and senior management education.
• Support the month-end close process and management reporting for assigned areas.
• Assist in regulatory compliance requirements such as GAAP, IFRS, TDS, GST etc.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining accounting policies, best practices and procedures.

• Education: Graduate
• 3 years of experience in AR and AP
• Experience with using NetSuite Accounting Software preferred
• Working knowledge of general accounting skills, GAAP, IFRS, TDS, GST, Companies Act and auditing standards.
• Proficient level knowledge of Excel
• Proficient knowledge of Google Sheets and Slides
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently
• Meticulous and execution focused
• Excellent project management and documentation skills
• Strong ability to review, interpret, and explain financial data
