Reporting Relationship: Reporting to Senior Project ManagerLocation: NoidaJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled GIS Expert to join our organisation for Smart City BU. As a GIS Expert, you will be responsible for the development, integration, and management of GIS applications and systems to support various smart city initiatives. Your role will involve the implementation of geospatial technologies to improve urban planning, infrastructure, resource management, and city governance.Key Responsibilities:

• GIS Development & Management:

• Design, implement, and manage GIS-based systems for smart city applications, including urban planning, transportation, utilities, and public safety.
• Ensure proper integration of GIS systems with other smart city technologies, such as IoT, sensors, and big data platforms.
• Develop and maintain geospatial databases, perform data analysis, and ensure the quality and accuracy of GIS data.
• Spatial Data Analysis:

• Perform complex spatial analysis to support decision-making in urban management, resource allocation, and environmental sustainability.
• Use GIS tools and techniques to analyse patterns, trends, and relationships within urban data.
• GIS Application Development:

• Work with cross-functional teams to develop GIS applications and dashboards for stakeholders and end-users.
• Customize and develop GIS solutions to meet the unique needs of the project.
• Collaboration & Reporting:

• Collaborate with urban planners, data scientists, engineers, and government officials to ensure GIS solutions align with project goals.
• Prepare and present GIS-related reports, visualizations, and presentations for project stakeholders.
• Training & Support:

• Provide technical support and training to team members and other departments on GIS tools and technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve GIS system-related issues in a timely manner.
• Compliance & Standards:

• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international standards and regulations regarding GIS data handling, privacy, and security.
• Keep up to date with the latest developments in GIS technologies and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Any IT stream, Urban Planning, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a GIS Expert, with a strong background in smart city projects or urban infrastructure.
• Proficiency in GIS software, such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, Oracle Spatial).
• Experience in GIS data collection, processing, and analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with remote sensing and integration of geospatial data with IoT systems.
• Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or SQL for GIS application development and automation.
• Experience with geospatial web services (e.g., WMS, WFS, REST APIs).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in GIS-related technologies or software (e.g., ESRI, QGIS) (Optional).
• Knowledge of urban development, smart infrastructure, or related smart city technologies.
• Familiarity with geographic data standards and metadata.
• Experience with GIS data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Knowledge of cloud-based GIS technologies and platforms.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position with flexibility to work on-site or remotely, depending on the project requirements.
• Some travel may be required for field data collection, project meetings, and site visits.

Specialization DescriptionTechnical Project Management requires specific technical knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for a technical process or project including:

• Developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports, conducting risk analysis and monitoring the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets
