Job Description

Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented GIS Executive with minimum 1-2 years of work experience to oversee our Geographic Information System (GIS) operations. The GIS Executive will be responsible for managing spatial databases, analyzing geographic data, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making processes within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GIS technology, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for leveraging spatial data to drive business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain spatial databases to support various projects and initiatives.
• Perform spatial analysis to extract meaningful insights and trends from geographic data.
• Create visually appealing maps and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS data into business processes and applications.
• Stay updated on emerging GIS technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide technical support and training to internal staff on GIS software and tools.
• Ensure data integrity and quality control measures are implemented and maintained.
• Assist in the development of GIS strategies and roadmaps to align with organizational goals.
• Participate in meetings and presentations to share GIS findings and recommendations.
• Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to GIS data management and usage.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience working with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
• Strong proficiency in spatial analysis techniques and geospatial data management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL) is desirable.
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for GIS automation and scripting.
• Prior experience in Geospatial industry or related fields is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
