Job Summary:
A General Physician (also known as a General Practitioner or GP) is a medical professional who provides primary and comprehensive care to patients. They diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of health conditions, illnesses, and diseases. General Physicians typically work in outpatient settings, such as private clinics, hospitals, or health centers, and serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking medical advice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough consultations, taking patient histories and performing physical exams.
• Diagnose common conditions and provide treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatments for acute and chronic conditions.
• Monitor ongoing health issues and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Offer advice on lifestyle changes to promote health and prevent disease.
• Provide vaccinations, screenings, and health check-ups.
• Refer patients to specialists when needed for more complex conditions.
• Coordinate care and follow up on specialist referrals.
• Educate patients on their diagnoses, treatment options, and the importance of preventive care.
• Guide patients on managing chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, etc.
• Provide consultations via telemedicine platforms for remote patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Ensure compliance with medical documentation standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Education: Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent), followed by a license to practice medicine.
• Experience: need 3+ years of clinical experience in general practice.
• Licensing: Board certification or equivalent medical licensing.
Key Skills :
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
• Proficiency in performing medical procedures (e.g., taking blood samples, administering injections, etc.).
• Ability to handle a diverse range of medical issues, from acute to chronic conditions.
• Compassionate and patient-centered care approach.
• Ability to manage time effectively in busy clinical environments.
