Job Description

Overview: The General Medicine Doctor plays a pivotal role in teaching, clinical oversight, and patient care within a medical college setting. This position entails instructing medical students, interns, and residents, delivering patient care, and participating in academic research. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical knowledge in general medicine, a strong enthusiasm for teaching, and a dedication to upholding the highest standards of medical practice and education.

Education :

• MBBS or an equivalent medical degree recognized by the Medical Council.
• MD in General Medicine or an equivalent postgraduate qualification in a related field (Mandatory)

Experience :

• A minimum of 2 to 8 years of experience as a practicing general medicine physician, including teaching experience in a medical college environment.
• Prior experience supervising medical students, residents, or interns is preferred.

• Strong clinical abilities in diagnosing and managing a diverse array of medical conditions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective teaching, patient engagement, and collaboration within teams.
• Capability to thrive in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team setting.

• Proficiency in utilizing medical software and electronic health records (EHR).

Certifications

• An active medical license as mandated by local regulations.
• Additional certifications in medical education, clinical teaching, or research are preferred.

Working Conditions: This is a full-time role that encompasses clinical responsibilities, teaching duties, and administrative tasks. The position may require evening or weekend hours based on the teaching schedule, clinical obligations, and departmental needs.
