: Project General Manager (Civil)
Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Project General Manager (Civil) with over 10 years of proven expertise in managing large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate should possess a Project Management certification and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills to oversee and successfully deliver complex civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
• Project Planning and Execution:
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to timelines and milestones, monitoring progress against targets.
• Team Leadership and Management:
• Lead and motivate a diverse team of engineers, contractors, and support staff.
• Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring each team member understands their roles and responsibilities.
• Contract Management:
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Manage contract terms, deliverables, and financial implications to mitigate risks.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance:
• Implement rigorous quality control measures to uphold industry standards and client expectations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental policies.
• Client Communication and Relationship Management:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and maintaining positive relationships.
• Provide regular project updates and reports, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Financial Oversight:
• Monitor project expenditures and financial performance, optimizing resources and controlling costs.
• Prepare financial forecasts, cost estimates, and budget reports for management review.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
• Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them proactively.
• Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and maintain project continuity.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering project management, preferably in large-scale construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
