As the General Manager - Strategy, Marketing & Communications for Cotecna Group companies in India (viz. Cotecna Inspection, Geochem Laboratories, Shiva Analyticals and CTS Business Line and any other company in future), your mission is to drive sustainable business growth by developing and executing innovative, data-driven strategies that align with Cotecna's global vision. will lead our marketing, strategy and communications efforts to strengthen our market presence, foster cross-functional collaboration, and enhance our client value proposition in key industries. By leveraging a customer-centric approach and promoting the "One Cotecna" ethos, you will ensure that our services meet the evolving needs of the market, while positioning Cotecna as a trusted leader in testing, inspection, and certification. Your key objectives are to inspire teams, drive performance, and deliver value to our stakeholders, ensuring Cotecna's continued success in India.Position Overview:We are seeking a seasoned General Manager - Strategy, Marketing & Communications to lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives including M&A that drive business growth across Cotecna Group's operations in India. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including strategic sales planning, marketing, and communications. The GM will oversee all strategic efforts, ensuring alignment with business goals and market needs, while also fostering a "One Cotecna" approach across the Sales, Marketing, and Business Development teams. This position is pivotal in strengthening Cotecna's market presence and enhancing our brand across all sectors in India.Key Responsibilities: * Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans that align with Cotecna Group's overall objectives and growth ambitions in India.
  • Analyze market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities, threats, and areas for business expansion.
  • Lead strategic initiatives across all business lines, ensuring they contribute to both short-term and long-term company growth.
  • Marketing Strategy Development
  • Formulate and execute marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth for all Cotecna entities and business units in India.
  • Drive cross-selling initiatives, promoting the xe2x80x9cOne Cotecnaxe2x80x9d approach within the sales and business development teams.
  • Implement systems and tools to drive commercial excellence : track CRM usage and performance, improve sales productivity, and support the team in meeting their targets.
  • Marketing & Communications Strategy
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to promote Cotecna's services and strengthen brand positioning in the market.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing campaigns, digital initiatives, and thought leadership content to increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and lead generation.
  • Drive external communications, public relations, and corporate messaging to enhance Cotecna's visibility and reputation within key industry sectors.
  • Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales, marketing, and business development teams to meet and exceed their objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and alignment across teams, ensuring that all departments work together towards common business goals.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate team members, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform at their best.
  • Brand Management
  • Build and nurture strong brand and unique value proposition, with key clients across various industries, including Food & Agri, Pharma & Cosmetics, Coal & Coke, Metals & Minerals, Chemicals, Oil & Petroleum, and Construction Materials Testing.
  • Manage the company's brand, ensuring consistency in messaging, customer experience, and service delivery across all touchpoints.
  • Sales and Marketing Performance Monitoring
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of sales and marketing campaigns, using key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on sales, marketing, and communication performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Market Expansion and Business Development
  • Identify new business opportunities and emerging market segments to support Cotecna's expansion within India.
  • Develop and execute market entry strategies for new regions, ensuring that Cotecna's services are effectively positioned to meet the needs of local markets.
  • Product and Service Knowledge
  • Ensure that all team members are well-versed in Cotecna's products, services, and industry trends, empowering them to effectively communicate the company's value proposition to clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance product offerings, improve customer service, and streamline operational processes in response to market feedback and client needs.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Oversee the sales, marketing, and communications budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to achieve optimal ROI.
  • Develop accurate marketing forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and monitoring performance against set targets.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with technical, operational, and protocol development teams to ensure that strategic initiatives are aligned with overall company goals and market demands.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales, marketing, and business development strategies.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Adherence
  • Ensure all marketing, sales, and communication activities comply with relevant industry regulations and Cotecna's internal policies.
  • Stay informed about changes in industry standards and government regulations, ensuring the business remains compliant in all markets.
  • Customer Feedback and Service Improvement
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for service improvement and opportunities for innovation.
  • Lead efforts to implement changes based on client insights, ensuring the business remains responsive to market demands and continues to deliver high-quality services.
Qualifications, Experience and Technical Skills*
  • Graduate with Science/Technology background (preferred)
  • 15 yrs of relevant experience
  • candidates from Food or Pharma industry background or from testing labs will be preferred.
