Within the Groupe Roullier, Magnesitas Navarras, S.A. is a global supplier of refractory monolithics to the steel industry. In order to further strengthen our development in Asia, we are looking for a General Manager Production, based in India. General Manager Production Location in India: Cuttack/Bhubaneswar - Odisha State Permanent Contract Reporting to the India Area Director, you will take care of the development of the industrial plant in India, to further develop MAGNA business activity in the field of refractory technologies. This role involves 2 steps. 1st step, as a General Manager: Projects (one year) Oversight the third-party project management for the execution of projects. Provide direct management of design and construction contractors to execute projects. Align with internal strategic operations, project managers and business units to collect detailed project requirements. Engage and maintain positive working relationships with the local jurisdictions/departments. Continuously report the advances to the head office. 2nd step, as a General Manager: Production (once the plant is finish) Manage the operations and the proper control of the plant, coordinate the daily work of production, maintenance and laboratory, budgeting and propose investments to improve the facilities, organizing the human and material resources of the areas, following the key indications of the Industrial Management and complying with the policies and regulations applicable to HSQE; all of this, in order to achieve the production and cost results expected. Profile required: Professional in engineering (industrial, mechanical or ceramics) You have a successful 10 to 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years as a Plant Manager or Plant Head in the refractory, cement or ceramics industry. A solid experience supervising the construction of a new mixing plant would be highly appreciated. You have a perfect command of English and Hindi. Spanish, French and Odiya will be a plus. Knowledge of cultural and business practices in the industrial Indian landscape will be highly appreciated. You are an excellent leader; you have critical thinking, and you are result oriented. You have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and love to take up big challenges. Your reactiveness, rigor and excellent management capabilities will give you what it takes to meet our business needs. You can work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative. You love being outdoor on the field, trips to supervise the construction site in Bhubaneswar are to be expected. During the first month, an extensive training plan will be deployed at the facilities of MAGNA, in Spain.
