Job Title : General Manager - OperationsDepartment : OperationalReport To : Managing DirectorJob Location: Changodar - Ahmedabad (Transportation facility is not available)Weekoff on SundayObjective: Main Objective is to supervise plant or factory operations by leading a technical resources team and effectively co-operating with various peer groups within the organization.Responsibilities:- Oversee day-to-day factory operations e.g. staffing requirements, production processes, maintenance of plant equipment etc.- Negotiate with vendors/suppliers for parts and technical service.- Supervise all the departments like production, quality control, HR, store, logistics etc.- Timely meeting with all the departments.- Capacity Expansion projects (CAPEX), (Direct Labour, Opex, Capex) calculations and data analysis.- Responsible for maintaining the accurate quality and quantity control to ensure the on-time delivery of produced products in order to satisfy the customers.- Establish SOP for manufacturing- Planning production meetings, worker schedules, production activities, machine maintenance plans and maintaining product quality and budgets.- Planning, formulating, organizing, controlling, and directing production activities.- Observing the effective maintenance of safety rules and standards in the department by the workers.- Establishing & sustaining WCM (World Class Manufacturing) & Lean manufacturing concept/system.- Managing time-lines and work priorities and allocating resources to meet the assigned factory time-lines and goals.- Ensuring that the product effectively satisfies the quality level ordered by the customer.- Ensuring the effectual adopting of new programs and policies and providing training in order to meet improved requirements ordered by customers.- Executing factory manufacturing strategic plan and aligning it with general plant strategy.- Supervising quality standards and enforcing quality-control programs.- Collaborating with other factory managers to find best practices and the best solution.- Reviewing the overall performance and identifying training necessities of all the personnel of the factory.Working Relationship:- Works and interface with management, sales, marketing, HR departments.- Freedom To Act ( Authority)- Decision related to any matter of Factory.- Decision related to any employee of the factory.Problem Solving :- Any technical problem during production.- Any problem to customers after delivering the goods.Key Skills:- Having proven knowledge of establishing & sustaining global concepts/systems like Lean Manufacturing, WCM, TPS, etc.- Good command over English language- Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management- Experience budgeting and forecasting- Familiarity with business and financial principles- Excellent communication skills- Leadership ability- Outstanding organizational skills- Degree in Business, Operations Management or related fieldExperience Range - 12 - 14 yearsSalary - 10LPA - 13LPA- Industry - Consumer Durable Manufacturing
