Department DetailsRole Summary1. Establish, Implement and continual improve Occupational Health and safety, environment management practices for Treatment, Recycle and Disposal of solid, liquid wastes and gaseous emissions.
2. Establish, Implement and ensure safe working practices are followed throughout the companies
3. Liaison with regulatory authorities and update management on upcoming legislations pertaining to EHS applicable to the company.
4. To follow the established procedures and policies of the company pertaining to EHS
5. To adhere to safety norms defined
6. To understand the implications of not following the defined procedures with respect to EHS
7. To Plan, Delegate, Recruit and budgeting for the department.
8. To ensure smooth running and efficiency of the Treatment Facilities
9. To ensure safe working environment for the employees
10. To Influence/suggest the management to adopt sound environment technology or good practices
11. To implement best available technology related to the performance of EHS
12. To check whether all the legal requirements related to EHS are met and take suitable action.
13. To submit all the legal forms related to EHS within the stipulated time to the respective authorities
14. To interact with regulatory authorities with matters concerning the legal requirements and permits
15. To ensure the smooth running of all audits (Internal & External) related to EHS
16. To ensure all the audit findings are closed within the stipulated time
17. To set up Objectives and Targets for the betterment of EHS Performance
18. To check the projects taken under EHS Department
19. To identify proper training needs in the department
20. Ensure and review of EHS management systems time to time
21. Establish, Implement and ensure safe working practices are followed throughout the companies
22. Liaison with regulatory authorities and renewal of liaison as and when required
23.To delegate the roles and responsibilities in the department
24. To take decisions on changing the operations and working procedures
25. To check the documents prepared in the department
26. To clear the Bills, Invoices and Vouchers
27. To sign the legal documents pertaining to EHS
