We are looking for a dynamic Engineering Manager with hands-on experience in embedded systems and relevant knowledge of cloud and IoT technologies to lead our talented engineering teams.The Engineering Manager will be instrumental in driving the development of our next generation of connected building systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in embedded systems and strong leadership skills to manage and mentor a team of engineers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hardware design, firmware development, and exposure to mechanical engineering, along with relevant experience in IoT and cloud systems.   • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of embedded systems for connected building applications, including hardware, firmware, and mechanical components.
  • Ensure seamless integration of embedded devices with cloud systems, optimizing for performance, security, and scalability.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and support to the engineering team, participating in hardware and firmware development, debugging, and problem-solving as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, Quality, Cyber Security, and supply chain, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in embedded systems, IoT, and cloud technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation.
  • Define and implement engineering best practices, ensuring high standards of quality and reliability in design process.
  • Manage/drive project Timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet business objectives.
  • Mentor and develop team members, providing regular feedback and career development opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in engineering roles with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven experience in embedded systems design, including hardware, firmware, and mechanical aspects.
  • Relevant experience with IoT systems, including integration with cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding/exposure of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience with cloud native architectures.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar, and experience with embedded firmware development.
  • Experience with hardware design tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle) and mechanical design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with IoT communication protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, or HTTP.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in embedded systems and IoT environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with building management systems (BMS) or smart building technologies.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML applications in embedded systems and building automation.
  • Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
