You will set up new regional financial processes, interface and respond to auditors, and review General Ledger transactions, statutory financial statements, account reconciliations, and tax compliance schedules. You will participate in work process reviews, highlight complex accounting matters, and provide recommendations for changes to ensure accuracy and compliance.Major Responsibilities:

• Manages General Accounting team for multiple verticals team with minimal guidance and direction of Accounting/Operations Manager
• Acts as subject matter expert for General Accounting processes across all sub-verticals.
• Reviews General Ledger transactions, ensures timely and smooth month end, plans, and co-ordinates the year end General Ledger closing process.
• Establishes administrative controls for all related accounting functions of sub-verticals in accordance with established Bechtel policies and procedures.
• Reviews financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, monthly closing reports) prepared by team according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or other regulatory requirements
• Interfaces with internal and external auditors
• Reviews account reconciliation prepared by team and ensured that monthly, supporting schedules are prepared promptly and reviewed for compliance with established procedures.
• Reviews tax compliance reports and schedules (VAT, GST, WHT etc.) and ensures payment and filing deadlines are met.
• Provides supervision to accountants in preparation of reports, monthly financial statements, and other reports as requested.
• Provides guidance and required training to the team to perform the task assigned to them. Identify training requirements in line with ever changing compliance and other regulatory environments to ensure that work performed is as per established regulatory guidelines and corporate policies and procedures.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires Chartered Accountant and bachelor's degree in commerce (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience.xe2x80x8b

• Must be dependable, punctual, conscientious, and function well in a team environment.

• The ideal candidate must be 'self-starter' capable of working independently, taking initiative identifying and resolving issues, managing workload, and handling correspondence.
• The ideal candidate must possess good organization skills, ability to provide constant attention to detail, and have ability to apply quality control over a heavy volume work with tight deadlines.
