Gemstone Assorter
Job Description
• Sort gemstones into different categories based on type (e.g., ruby, sapphire, emerald, amethyst, etc.), size, and quality.
• Classify gemstones according to their color, clarity, cut, and carat weight, following industry standards and company guidelines.
• Inspect gemstones to detect any flaws or inclusions and grade their overall quality.
• Use gemological tools, such as a loupe, microscope, and refractometer, to examine and assess gemstones.
• Ensure that gemstones meet the quality standards required for use in jewelry or other applications.
• Maintain accurate records of gemstone sorting, including grading reports and inventory tracking.
• Prepare detailed reports on gemstone quality and provide recommendations for further processing or use.
• Provide input on gemstone pricing based on quality and market demand.
• Track gemstone inventory and ensure proper storage and organization of sorted gemstones.
• Assist in the management of stock levels and assist in replenishment as needed.
• Stay updated on current trends in gemstone grading, new technologies, and market developments in the gem and jewelry industry.

Pay: ?10,000.00 - ?15,000.00 per month
