: Garment Technician-Menswear

Position: Garment Technician

Location: Kolkata

Department: Design

Reporting to: Head of Design-NPD

Experience: 3- 10 years

Role Overview: We are seeking a talented garment technician to join our team. To create

new silhouettes and designs for western as well as ethnic lines. To define fits and cuts. Will

work closely with our team to conceptualize, design, and develop collections that resonate

with our brand identity and appeal to our target market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding of menswear silhouettes, fits and cuts
• Understanding of menswear fabrics, interlinings and trims
• Ability to sketch designs and create patterns
• Experience with garment construction and sewing techniques
• Knowledge of textiles and fabric selection
• Ability to develop innovative designs
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Developing seasonal collections of menswear in close association with the design

team - both RTW and couture

• Development of new menswear silhouettes/patterns individually or with pattern

masters

• Developing sketches/technical drawings of garments
• Defining and supervision of grading, sizing
• Overseeing the production of proto designs
• Carrying out fittings for models/VIPs
• Coordinate with sourcing team to evaluate materials (fabrics, trims, etc.) based on design requirements.
• Communicating technical design information for production/customer samples.
• Working with production teams to ensure quality and consistency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in design
• Proven experience in Garment designing in menswear only
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Rhino, CAD, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong understanding of materials, techniques, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A passion for craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?600,000.00 - ?1,200,000.00 per year
