Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Merchandiser to join our garment export house. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of garment production, from initial concept through to final shipment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Management:
- Act as clients' primary point of contact, ensuring their requirements are understood and met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers to ensure repeat business.
- Understand client needs and provide solutions to meet their design and quality expectations.
- Order Management:
- Coordinate with clients to receive orders, finalize specifications, and communicate them clearly to the production team.
- Oversee order processing, ensuring that samples, production, and shipment schedules are adhered to.
- Monitor the production timeline, from sourcing raw materials to final delivery, to ensure timely completion.
- Product Development:
- Collaborate with the design team to develop new samples and collections that align with client expectations.
- Coordinate with the sourcing team to procure materials, trims, and accessories required for sampling and production.
- Ensure that all samples meet quality standards and client specifications before submission.
- Quality Control:
- Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that all products meet the required quality standards.
- Address any quality issues promptly and coordinate with the production team to implement corrective actions.
- Logistics & Shipping:
- Coordinate with logistics team to ensure timely shipment of finished goods.
- Provide clients with regular updates on the status of their orders.
- Costing & Budgeting:
- Prepare cost sheets and negotiate prices with clients and vendors.
- Ensure that production costs are within the agreed budget while maintaining quality.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising on quality.
- Market Research:
- Stay updated on global fashion trends, market demands, and competitor activities.
- Provide insights to the design and production teams to align with current market trends.
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes and export procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and industry-specific software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
- Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Technology, or a related field.
- 7 + years of experience in merchandising within the garment export industry.
- Experience working with international clients and understanding of global market trends.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?60,000.00 per month
