Position : VFX Artist

Key ResponsibilitiesVisual Effects Creation

• Design and create high-quality visual effects (VFX) for in-game environments, characters, abilities, and combat sequences.
• Develop dynamic particle effects, shaders, and animations that align with the game's art style and performance requirements.
• Ensure VFX complement gameplay mechanics and enhance player experience.

Concept Development and Prototyping

• Collaborate with game designers, animators, and concept artists to brainstorm and prototype visual effects ideas.
• Translate concept art and design briefs into visually engaging effects.

Optimization and Integration

• Optimize VFX for mobile platforms, ensuring performance without sacrificing quality.
• Integrate VFX assets into the game engine (Unity) and ensure seamless performance.
• Collaborate with developers to debug and resolve technical issues related to VFX.

Shader Development

• Create and implement custom shaders for stylized and realistic effects, such as water, fire, explosions, and energy fields.
• Experiment with new techniques to push the visual fidelity of the game.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with the art, design, and programming teams to ensure VFX align with gameplay and art direction.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project goals, timelines, and feedback.
• Provide and receive constructive feedback to maintain high-quality visual standards.

Asset Management

• Maintain an organized VFX library for efficient use and reuse of assets.
• Ensure all VFX assets are properly documented and backed up.

QualificationsEducation

• Bachelor's degree in Game Art, Animation, Visual Effects, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Experience

• Proven experience as a VFX Artist with a minimum of 2 years in the video game, animation, or film industry.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of visual effects, including particle effects, shaders, and animations.

Skills

• Proficiency in tools like Unity, Unreal Engine, or other game engines for VFX creation.
• Expertise in VFX creation software such as Houdini, After Effects, or Maya.
• Strong understanding of particle systems, shader creation, and real-time VFX techniques.
• Knowledge of optimization techniques for mobile platforms is a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to adapt to different art styles and project requirements.
• Willingness to learn and stay updated with the latest industry trends and techniques.
