• Job Title: Furniture Designer

Job Summary: As a Customized Furniture Designer for Commercial Interiors, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom furniture pieces that enhance the functionality and aesthetic appeal of various commercial spaces. You will collaborate closely with clients, interior designers, and production teams to deliver furniture solutions that meet the specific requirements and standards of commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities an Duties:

Client Consultation:

• Meet with commercial clients to understand their specific furniture needs, brand identity, and budget constraints.
• Provide professional advice on materials, styles, and finishes suitable for commercial use.
• Develop design concepts and present them to clients for approval.

Design Development:

• Create detailed furniture designs using sketches, CAD drawings, and 3D models.
• Ensure designs are both functional and aesthetically pleasing, taking into account ergonomic and durability requirements for commercial use.
• Select appropriate materials and finishes that meet commercial standards and client preferences.

Project Management:

• Coordinate with interior designers, architects, and project managers to ensure design consistency with overall project goals.
• Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Oversee the production process, ensuring that designs are accurately translated into finished products.

Prototyping and Quality Assurance:

• Develop prototypes or samples to test design concepts and make necessary refinements.
• Conduct quality checks on finished furniture to ensure they meet design specifications and commercial standards.
• Address any production issues or defects promptly.

Industry Trends and Innovation:

• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies relevant to commercial furniture design.
• Incorporate innovative design techniques and materials into projects to enhance functionality and aesthetics.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and workshops to gather inspiration and build professional networks.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed records of design projects, including sketches, drawings, material lists, and client communications.
• Prepare project reports and updates for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure all designs comply with safety, regulatory, and commercial standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.

Proven experience in designing custom furniture for commercial interiors, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.

Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools.

In-depth understanding of furniture construction techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes for commercial use.

Strong creative and artistic skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.

Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of current design trends and the ability to innovate within the field.

Language: Hindi, Kannada, English or any other.
