THE OPPORTUNITY: An exciting opportunity exists for you to join Kshamata, a Thane based non-profit that aims to Kshamata reintegrates women in vulnerable circumstances back into society- equipping them with skills for life and livelihood; empowering them to live independently; and supporting them to build a new life We seek a dynamic, and fairly experienced fundraiser to support the resource mobilisation efforts of the organisation, at a pivotal time, when Kshamata is making a leap in terms of growth, expansion and re-positioning. As the Fundraising Manager, you can play a crucial role in helping drive this period of change. THE POSITION: The Fundraising Manager is primarily responsible for New Donor acquisition and large grants fundraising from private and public sector companies, HNI\'s, and grant making foundations in India and overseas. The Fundraising Manager will establish and put in place a strong internal FR process to drive fundraising, along with the effective use of prospect management system and consistent, systematic follow-ups of leads to support fundraising success. LOCATION: This position will be located in Thane, Maharashtra (hybrid work) JOINING & ON-BOARDING: Immediate ABOUT THE NGO KSHAMATA, a registered trust based in Thane (E \xe2\x80\x93 6994) mission is to empower women and adolescent girls faced with vulnerable and exploitative situations including trafficked backgrounds, enabling them to become respected, productive and earning citizens, by providing on-going care and counselling, life skills education, job readiness, appropriate vocational training and placement, necessary arrangements for accommodation, continued follow up and support for reintegration in society. Kshamata\xe2\x80\x99s Vision: The cycle of exploitation is broken for vulnerable women- they lead a life of dignity, confidence and freedom KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES RESEARCH & IDENTIFICATION OF PROSPECTS FOR NEW DONOR ACCQUISITION \xef\x82\xb7 Identify prospective donors, develop and manage a detailed prospect database and maintain an active pipeline of prospective donors. Research and identify various funding opportunities to be pursued by Kshamata \xef\x82\xb7 Research prospects to assess their \'interest\' and alignment with Kshamata \xe2\x80\x99s mission & program areas \xef\x82\xb7 Update all interactions with prospects regularly, review actions with Managing Trustee/ Programs Director and ensure effective follow ups and \xef\x82\xb7 Working with current and prospective key supporters and stakeholders to tap new networks RETAIL FUNDRAISING (MONTHLY AND ONE TIME) \xef\x82\xb7 Provide inputs and drive the activities on behalf of Kshamata - giving campaigns and platforms for fundraising, such as \'Daan Utsav\xe2\x80\x99, marathons, cause related events, etc. \xef\x82\xb7 Quarterly and annual retail fundraising strategy \xef\x82\xb7 Organise and anchor a Charity /Fundraising event (offline) \xef\x82\xb7 Building a supportive community online for Kshamata, individuals commit to give on a regular basis \xef\x82\xb7 Design and implement communication with individual donors DONOR STEWARDSHIP Development and implementation of a detailed donor stewardship strategy to recognize, thank and reward donors to ensure they give time and again. \xef\x82\xb7 Develop a calendar for donor stewardship with reminders for at least 3 touch points per donor throughout the year. \xef\x82\xb7 Develop and maintain a strong internal system to build donor relationships for retention, upscaling of support and referrals/recommendations to other prospects. \xef\x82\xb7 Support and implement initiatives for donor retention such as campaigns and events to promote long-term funding support. TAPPING VARIOUS FUNDRAISING PLATFORMS \xef\x82\xb7 Participate in platforms for networking and fundraising & subscriptions to databases of companies, HNIs (when necessary) and fundraising websites \xef\x82\xb7 Explore Cause related Marketing initiative \xef\x82\xb7 Any other activity as directed by the Trustees/Programs Director \xef\x82\xb7 Support in online applications SET UP MEETINGS & FOLLOW UP \xef\x82\xb7 Set up meetings with the senior management team members (such as HR head, CSR head, Marketing head and Head of Corporate Affairs) of the potential corporate organizations & Foundations & Family Trusts (institutional donors). \xef\x82\xb7 Effective follow up and relationship building with prospects to drive discussions forward into the decision to fund and support Kshamata . REPRESENT KSHAMATA AT KEY EVENTS \xef\x82\xb7 Represent Kshamata at different corporate forums and events, CSR seminars and conferences to network with prospective donors and improve the visibility of the organization. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Qualifications: Graduate/postgraduate in Social Work or Business (Sales & Marketing) from a recognised University Experience: \xef\x82\xb7 3-4 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a Fundraising role with a recognised Indian or International NGO. \xef\x82\xb7 Fair understanding and demonstrable experience of the fundraising process and track record of success in developing relationships with new prospects and converting them into supporters and achieving fundraising targets. \xef\x82\xb7 Understanding of Large Grants Fundraising context in India/ abroad and prospect donor target markets, i.e. HNI, CSR, Indian and International grant making Foundations. BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES \xef\x82\xb7 Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills in English. \xef\x82\xb7 A good track record in writing and winning fundraising proposals and applications. \xef\x82\xb7 Expertise in creating and delivering compelling and persuasive presentations. \xef\x82\xb7 Strong time management skills and adherence to deadlines. \xef\x82\xb7 Highly disciplined and able to work without supervision. \xef\x82\xb7 Proficiency in MS Office \xe2\x80\x93 Word, PowerPoint and Excel. \xef\x82\xb7 Ability to multitask and handle a variety of tasks at once. \xef\x82\xb7 Ability to take initiative and drive projects through to completion. \xef\x82\xb7 Excellent networking and interpersonal skills that facilitate strong relationships with a wide range of people. \xef\x82\xb7 Commitment to Kshamata\xe2\x80\x99s mission and goals.
