We are hiring for the role of Functional Tester to join our team at DataEconomy.

Role: Functional Tester
Qualification: BTech/MTech/MCA
Job Location: Hyderabad/Pune
Experience: 4+ years
Work Mode: Hybrid
Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for functional testing of banking applications.
  
• Conduct API testing to validate functionality, performance, reliability, and security of RESTful and SOAP APIs.
  
• Perform database testing including validation of data integrity, data manipulation, and SQL queries optimization.
  
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand project requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
  
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution, ensuring thorough documentation and communication throughout the testing process.
  
• Participate in test automation efforts to enhance test efficiency and coverage, utilizing tools like Selenium, Postman, or similar.

Requirements

Required Skills:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of proven experience as a Functional Tester with a focus on API testing and database testing.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and conducting database testing using tools like MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Solid understanding of banking domain concepts, including financial transactions, security protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
