- Identify and assess potential hazards in automotive systems
- Develop and implement safety concepts for automotive systems
- Verify that safety concepts are met throughout the development lifecycle
- Work with other engineers and stakeholders to integrate safety requirements into the design and development of automotive systems
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation
- Conduct verification reviews and confirmation reviews
- Stay up-to-date on the latest functional safety standards and regulations
- Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, or Systems Engineering, or a related field. A Master\'s degree is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in automotive functional safety, such as ISO 26262, are preferred.
- Proficiency in safety analysis tools and methodologies, including FMEA, FTA, and DFA.
- Experience with automotive embedded systems and software development.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to functional safety in the automotive sector.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Prior experience in an automotive functional safety role is an advantage.
