As a Software Engineer III in Securities Services Technology, Corporate and Investment Bank , you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm\'s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• As an Application UI Developer you are responsible for designing and developing modern UI for the External and Internal Client facing apps. Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Collaborate and influence the stakeholders on requirements and implementation details
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript (its quirks, and workarounds), web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3, experience writing REST web services in Java, Python
• Strong experience building web apps using REACT, AngularJS, ExtJs. Proficient in using front-end build tools, such as NPM, YARN, Grunt. Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT, SVN, NPM, understanding of code CI/CD tools, browser rendering behavior and performance. Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
• Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Exposure to Spring, Spring boot & Tomcat is a plus
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and to mentor junior developers
• Exposure to cloud technologie
