As a senior and highly experienced full stack developer, you will join an existing team in the EA Team in Group CTO supporting our strategic initiatives across the bank.


• Lead the development Team and mentor junior colleagues
• Help Group Enterprise Architecture team to develop our Azure based applications
• Work in the development team to support the development of data insights
• Produce clear and commented code
• Review and feedback on the work of others
• Provide expertise in infrastructure build and automation (DevOps)
• Produce clear and comprehensive documentation
• Play a Lead role with technology support teams and ensure deliverables are completed or escalated on time
• Provide support on any related presentations, communications, and trainings
• Be a team player, working across the organization with skills to indirectly manage and influence
• Be a self-starter willing to inform and educate others

You'll be working in the Technology Services GCTO EA Team. Technology Services is a group-wide function which provides integrated and secure infrastructure services for UBS by offering best fit, easy to leverage, reliable and cost-effective technology services and strategic products which provide functionality, strategic insights and and expertise across all business groups globally
Your expertise


Must have:

• Leadership experience with a minimum of 3 direct reports
• Overall experience should be more then 13+
• Excellent and demonstratable experience as a Full stack engineer working on entire stack from back to front
• 10+ years of REACT skills
• Excellent JavaScript, TypeScript experience
• Excellent stakeholder interaction skills
• Excellent experience designing and building Data Pipelines.
• A good understanding of Python and Data Science libraries.
• Hands on experience working with Kubernetes, Docker and other infrastructure based technologies.
• Minimum 3 years experience of Terraform and IaC
• Excellent understanding Azure
• Minimum 5 years experience of PowerBI
• A minimum of 5+ years DevOps experience, Azure DevOps experience is an advantage
• Has strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
• 8 years+ of experience in a Scrum delivery model
• Understanding of performance implications when making design decisions to deliver performant and maintainable software.
• Solid experience with multi-threaded architectures and optimised UIs
• Expert experience of Gitlab, JIRA etc.
• In depth experience of working in a highly regulated environment
• Ability to multi task and prioritise requests based on stakeholder feedback
• Excellent end-to-end SDLC process understanding.
• Proven track record of delivering complex web apps on tight timelines
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application and familiarity with RESTful Services.
• Fluent in English both written and spoken.


Nice to have:

• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Fortify, SonarQube, Mocha and Jest
• Knowledge of visualisation tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView
• Knowledge of RDF based Graph Database solutions e.g. GraphDB, Anzo
• Programming in Python and familiarity with Machine Learning algorithms
• Familiarity with data retrieval with SQL,
