What You'll Do

The Docusign Semantic Models team is seeking a Software Engineer to develop foundational tools and service web-components for their next-generation agreement platform. The team focuses on building schema-driven SaaS products that scale to various customer needs and maintains an open-source schema language. The ideal candidate will have a strong product engineering background, proficiency in front-end React development with TypeScript, and enjoy entrepreneurial environments. They will collaborate with team members, improve processes, and suggest best practices. The platform engineering group will work closely with product managers, developers, and engineers to ensure high-quality product releases.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering.

Responsibility

Write accessible code that is easy to maintain and test. Actively participate in the design and architecture of our microservices, libraries, web components, and tools Work with Project Management and other product teams to elicit design requirements Work as part of a passionate, agile development team to deliver engaging user experiences Fix production issues and maintain the code as needed

Job Designation

Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What You Bring

Basic

5+ years development experience Experience working with TypeScript, Javascript, and the React framework Experience building reusable front-end components Experience with NoSQL data stores, such as MongoDB Experience with front-end testing libraries Strong understanding and experience of modern development practices Experience delivering a SaaS product

Preferred

Be open minded, forward thinking, and passionate about great software Designing and developing scalable cloud-based microservice components Experience with the entire software development lifecycle, including version control, build process, testing, and code release Experience with data modeling or schema languages, such as XML Schema or JSON Schema. Agile and Test-driven development methodologies Experience building/consuming RESTful or gRPC web-services Strong communication skills, particularly in an asynchronous environment
