As a sales tech engineering team, we are responsible for E2E revenue cycle of PayPal products building the platforms and engineering products that are used by our merchants, customers to engage with our seller partners to onboard to PayPal products, and provide services for pricing, integrations. : Your way to impact: With PayPal\xe2\x80\x99s focus on small merchant business and aggressively launching new products and reach to 3x customer base, Sales tech engineering becomes the centre of it and a self-service merchant experience to onboard to PayPal products is warranted for PayPal to beat the competition and launch product experiences at scale to generate exponential revenue. This position is a new position to build self-service experiences for our merchant onboarding. Today it takes more than one month for a new merchant to onboard to PayPal for payment services. E2E revenue cycle takes more than 2 weeks. There is tremendous opportunity for automation, building self-service experiences, utilizing AI on seller activity automation to significantly reduce the revenue lifecycle time to less than 48 hours. Imagine your customer being able to fully utilize your products in couple of days from the time you manufacture it, the level of satisfaction and increased revenue, faster sales and multiplied marketing. Given the phase of PayPal with esteemed trust in Payment\xe2\x80\x99s space, these experiences will accelerate customer onboarding tremendously thereby increasing the revenue Your day to day :

• Demonstrate a customer centric mindset as part of day-day work.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage continuously changing business needs
• Work with the Agile team to clarify the new products and features requested by the Product team
• Collaborate with other developers to design and implement the required solutions
• Participate in pair programming in the delivery of both POC and targeted features
• Understand and apply our technical architecture to ensure consistent, reliable, and secure deployments.
• Enhance and maintain existing product capabilities
• Participate in formal and informal code reviews to ensure code quality
• Actively contribute to the automated test suite to enable continuous integration

What do you need to bring: Technical Hands-on Skills:

• Strong programming skills and expertise in Node JS, react, kraken, Java/J2EE, Spring and Hibernate
• Exposure to one or more server-side scripting technologies.
• Experience with REST API\xe2\x80\x99s, Web Services, Unit Testing and build tools.
• Good understanding and hands on experience with databases such as MySQL/ Oracle etc.
• Strong understanding of web-based programming languages
• Rich object-oriented design and analysis skills
• Proficient with Functional and Object-Oriented JavaScript/ES6+ coding
• Proficient with Node.JS and Express application design and development
• Proficient with React or other front-end frameworks (e.g. Angular, Vue)
• Proficient with HTML5 and CSS3
• Proficient with Webpack and other build and packaging systems
• Proficient writing automated unit and functional tests
• Proficient with Git source control and effective branching and release management practices
• Proficient in creating user interfaces and resolving cross-browser and backward compatibility issues
• Ability to debug, diagnose and resolve complex JavaScript bugs throughout the stack
• Strong communication skills in a collaborative environment
• Strong critical thinking skills; Ability to devise innovative solutions

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools such as Jenkins
• Experience with analytic instrumentation, querying with Hive/Hadoop, Teradata, Kibana or Splunk
• Experience with Enterprise Java and supporting Java frameworks

Education & Work qualifications

• Bachelor/Master of CS or equivalent
• 3 plus years of experience in software development
