We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist

Finance & Data Regulatory (FDR is part of Markets and Security Services IT function. FDR IT department serves the Finance, Regulatory and Product Control business functions across the organization. It is a global organization with IT team spread across London, HK, NY, GZ and Pune being the technology center.

FDR IT department is responsible for building and maintaining IT systems which are responsible for delivering cross asset functionality. FDR IT team works closely with Front Office and Regulatory business functions across the organization.

In this role, you will:

• Software design, engineering, automated testing of new and existing components in a dynamic Agile and DevOps environment
• Promoting development standards, code reviews, mentoring, knowledge sharing
• Product and feature design, scrum story writing
• Data Engineering and Management
• Liaise with the infrastructure team to setup the performance environment for various build deployments, configuration changes, etc.
• Implement the tools and processes, handling performance, scale, availability, accuracy and monitoring
• Participation in regular planning and status meetings. Input to the development process \xe2\x80\x93 through the involvement in Sprint reviews and retrospectives. Input into system architecture and design.
• Be responsible for ensuring compliance of the products and services with mandatory and regulatory requirements, control objectives in the risk and control framework and technical currency (in line with published standards and guidelines) and, with the architecture function, implementation of the business imperatives
• Production support & troubleshooting (1st-3rd line support)
• Post incident reviews \xe2\x80\x93 end to end
• Work with product owner & PODS to ensure that the lead time to deploy changes is continuously improving
• Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimise variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data
• Keep up-to-date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable
• Identify project issues, communicate them and assist in their resolution.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Python

• SQLAlchemy (for database connectivity)
• Flask / RESTX (for REST API development)
• Django (for Web development and Jinja like templates)
• PLY/SLY (parser and lexer for parsing pseudo command syntax)

JavaScript (browser/front end only)

• Experienced in Java, Scala and/or Python, Unix/Linux environment on-premises and in the cloud
• Java development and design using Java 1.7/1.8. Advanced understanding of core features of Java and when to use them
• A good understanding of JavaScript programming concepts
• Experience of JavaScript client side frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
• Experience of using common js libraries (e.g. Apexchart.js, Chart.js, C3.js, datatables.js)
• Experienced in ReactJS / Redux, CSS, Test Driven Development, Unix/Linux environment on-premises and in the cloud
• Single webpage user interface development and design using REST services. Advanced understanding of core features of ReactJS / Redux and when to use them
• Experience with most of the following technologies (HTML5, NPM, ReactJS, Redux, CSS, Material UI, RESTful services).
• Hands-on experience creating ReactJS/Redux projects from scratch, debugging Javascript issues and writing automated tests
• Sound knowledge on reverse proxy, web security, and production deployment on Unix/Linux Platform
• Must have experience with developing user friendly interfaces for working with large structured/semi structured data sets
• Expertise in UI development pattern (MVVM, MVC, BDD, TDD, IOC)

Spark and Big Data

• Experience with most of the following technologies (Apache Hadoop, Scala, Apache Spark, Spark streaming, YARN, Kafka, Hive, HBase, Presto, Python, ETL frameworks, MapReduce, SQL, RESTful services).
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines using Hadoop components Sqoop, Hive, Pig, Spark, Spark SQL.
• Must have experience with developing Hive QL, UDF\xe2\x80\x99s for analysing semi structured/structured datasets
• Experience with time-series/analytics DB\'s such as Elasticsearch
• Understanding of data modelling techniques using relational and non-relational techniques

Cloud

• Understanding or experience of Cloud design patterns
• Experience of deploying solutions to cloud ideally GCP with using cloud based databases and resources
• Database Design/Development/Modelling/ETL
• Relational database experience with strong SQL (Oracle or PostgreSQL ideally)
• Good understanding of database performance tuning
• Good understanding of data warehousing design patterns
• Relational modelling concepts & ER modelling tools
• Good understanding of concepts ETL & ELT with some experience of developing bespoke data loading solutions

Unix / RHEL6+

• Sound knowledge on working Unix/Linux Platform
• Unix command line
• Networking/Security configuration and user authentication
• Shell scripting, automation and scheduling (RunDeck)
• System capacity management and scaling

DevSecOps Skills

• Software design, java development, automated testing of new and existing components in an Agile, DevOps and dynamic environment
• Experience with industry standard version control tools (Git, GitHub), automated deployment tools (Ansible & Jenkins) and requirement management in JIRA
• GitHub and familiarity with other repositories
• Exposure to Agile Project methodology but also with exposure to other methodologies (such as Kanban)
• CI/CD pipelines and understanding of the end to end development and deployment process
• Experience on Debugging the Code issues and then publishing the highlighted differences to the development team/Architects.
