Saaf Finance is a stealth startup in the $17 Trillion mortgage and real-estate market. Most of the technology and data processes in the mortgage industry remain archaic, creating inefficiencies and costs that impact homeowners, investors and various market participants.

We are on a mission to create a decentralised mortgage market. We believe clear and verified data will be the foundation of this vision. We are using AI to automate traditional data extraction and verification processes, and using immutable ledger / blockchain to revolutionise the way the mortgage market reviews data and completes transactions.

We are looking for engineers who have the skills and grit to make this ambitious goal a reality. You are joining at the ground floor building the product for the biggest Financial market. This is a role for someone who wants to challenge themselves to go to the next level, take ownership, drive the technical direction and culture of the company.

You will work closely with the founding team almost on a daily basis. Our founders are serial entrepreneurs, having experience building startups in India and US, and running multi-country teams that scaled and led to successful exit. Our founders have combined 25+ years experience on Wall Street working on the most challenging problems in the global financial markets.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Building software that automates mortgage data related processes, and allows various end users to collaborate
• Work closely with Founders, Product and design team to understand customer requirements and develop technical solutions
• Make technical decisions that have a long-lasting impact. Design and develop software systems, applications, and components
• Lead projects, motivate teams, and provide guidance and technical insight to junior engineers
• Research and evaluate new technologies, development tools, and software components to enhance the development process
• Monitor and maintain software systems, ensuring reliability and performance
• Create detailed documentation for developed systems, components, and processes
• Develop and implement best practices for software engineering
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as full stack developer
• Proficiency in modern programming languages, such as Javascript, Typescript, Python, Java, Scala, Go
• Experience working with databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with AWS infrastructure
• 3+ experience with web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Experience with software development life cycle processes
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
