Fulfillment Manager

You will be working as Fulfillment Manager for Motion Business area and Large Motors & Generators division based in Vadodara, India. In this role, you will be reporting to Planning & Fulfillment Manager and will be responsible purchasing goods from internal (feeder factories) and external suppliers according to delivery schedule, transportation mode, price, special requirements, terms and conditions. Ensuring purchasing activities are align with company purchasing policies and procedures. Monitoring supplier performances and executing expediting activities. Staffing, setting targets and managing a team of specialists.

Your responsibilities

• Releasing purchase requisitions (PR) and initiating purchase orders (PO) in the system in alignment with customer requirements (based on ERP and standard operation procedures) and according with release strategy and table of authorities
• Monitoring suppliers order acknowledgments and dispatching advice along with the inbound freight, customs clearance and local transportation processes. Managing urgencies to guarantee timely deliveries
• Monitoring the purchase orders backlog and performs regular expending activities with internal (feeder factories) and external suppliers in order to ensure the customer on time delivery
• Tracking goods received at the warehouse in order to verify appropriate delivery, ensures invoice processing and service level to the customer. Managing inbound nonconformance reports (NCRs) and discrepancies with suppliers
• Monitoring the interface with suppliers systems (e.g. EDI messages) and resolving errors in order to ensure data quality / accuracy and operations continuity
• Creating and updating suppliers performances reports, overseeing supplier performances (on time delivery, quality, lead time, reverse logistics, planning parameters), conducting periodical performance reviews, and resolving related issues
• Developing effective communications and relation with suppliers and with other stakeholders (e.g. logistics team, materials planners, etc)
• Ensuring that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guiding, motivating and developing direct subordinates within HR policies. Developing the skills and competences to create a highly effective and efficient team

Your background

• Diploma/BE preferably in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10 to 12 years preferably in motor industry
• Excellent communication skills
