The Role
Thornton Tomasetti is seeking an application developer with an expertise in front-end development, with a design or computer science background to join the CORE studio Application Development team, a dedicated software development team within CORE focused on building custom applications for TT and our clients. Responsibilities will include implementing visual elements and their behaviours with user interactions. You will work with both front-end and back-end web developers to build all client-side logic. You will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions.
Requirements:• Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Design.
• Must have 2+ years of experience in developing responsive and modern web applications.
• Understanding of the entire web development process, with an emphasis on front end design and development.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds.
• Basic understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
• Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, ReactJS, VueJS etc.
• Familiar with front-end build tools - Webpack, Gulp.js or similar.
• In addition to technical responsibilities, the candidate shall be self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal communication and must be an exceptional team player.


Additional Skills:• Familiar with Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction industries.
• Familiar with backend frameworks - NodeJS or similar.
• Familiar with front-end design tools - Figma or similar.
