Role Profile

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Front-end Lead to join our dynamic team at LSEG. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our Forge Design System and our agile scrum teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end development, expertise in Node.js, React, accessibility (a11y), Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Git. Tech Profile/Essential Skills

• 10+ years\' experience in front-end development.
• Proven track record of designing and building web applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and a modern front-end framework (React, Vue.js, Angular, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Experience with version control systems (Git preferred).
• Experience working in an agile development environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience working with AEM.
• Experience working within a matrixed organization, collaborating with various teams (business analysts, delivery, UX, QA).
• Experience with accessibility (a11y).
• Experience working with design systems.
• Working knowledge of authentication schemes (OAuth).
• Experience building and communicating with web services using APIs (RESTful preferred).

Education and Professional Skills

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Solid English reading/writing capability required.
• Strong communication & articulation skills.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Forge Design System team to ensure consistency and adherence to design guidelines across front-end development.
• Lead front-end development efforts and implementation of user-facing web applications.
• Work closely with scrum teams to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure the implementation of best practices in front-end development, including code quality, performance optimization, and accessibility standards.
• Manage version control and branching strategies using Git.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in the front-end development process.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in front-end development.
