Job Summary:
The Front Office Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients in our dental practice. This role is vital in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and dental staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Reception: Greet patients warmly, check them in for their appointments, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
• Appointment Scheduling: Manage the appointment calendar, book new patients, and follow up with patients for confirmation or rescheduling as necessary.
• Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage, understand benefits, and explain financial responsibilities to patients.
• Billing and Payments: Process patient payments, manage billing inquiries, and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Patient Records Management: Maintain and update patient records in the dental management software, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Communication: Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and provide information about services, treatment options, and office policies.
• Administrative Support: Assist the office manager with administrative tasks, maintain office supplies, and ensure the front office area is organized and presentable.
• Patient Education: Inform patients about treatment plans, follow-up care, and hygiene practices.
