ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY
• Will report for duty on time, as per the shift allotted
• While reporting for duty, they should be neatly dressed in the uniform.
• While entering the Reception area, they must check whether the entire lobby isclean or not.
• Should check whether all helpers have reported for duty.
• They should know about their job responsibilities, vision and mission of the hospital and policies of the hospital.
• All staff will be trained and aware of patients' rights and responsibilities.
• They should have a positive attitude.
• They should know details of all the departments including location and phone numbers.
• The reception staff will communicate politely and kindly, with the patient and other visitors.
• They should listen to the customers patiently and handle them tactfully.
• If the patient does not know the location of particular OPDs (or) department, it is the duty of the front office staff to guide them.
• If the patient needs to get an appointment with the particular doctor, the front office executive will contact with concerned department and help them to get the appointment.
• According to the patient's condition, the staff should call for a wheelchair to shift the patient to the OPD or casualty.
• Special care must be given to the senior citizens, by allotting one helper with the patient.
• All details of Billing, tariff rates and revision details if any, will be known to all staff of the front office.
• If the patient has a complaint about the hospital services, the staff should ask about the complaints politely and try and resolve the issue. If the patient is not satisfied, he / she should be directed to the Front Office Manager.
• The staff must go for OP rounds daily and go for IP rounds also at least once in 3 days.
• Feedback forms must be handed to patients and they should be asked to deposit the same in the suggestion box. The box will be opened once a week and all forms put up to MS.
• Details of Master health check up and other schemes should be known to all, and clearly explained to the patients.
• Answer the phone politely and direct phone calls to the concerned OPDs / ward / Department immediately.
• Should maintain good working relationship with other department staff.
