Front office Responsibilities:
• Greeting guests : Setting a positive atmosphere and welcoming guests
• Handling reservations : Responding to guest, travel agent, and lead communications, and confirming reservations
• Checking guests in and out : Ensuring a quality experience for guests
• Answering questions : Providing information and entertainment suggestions
• Managing guest requests : Handling requests from current guests
• Handling complaints : Dealing with guest queries and complaints
• Increasing revenue : Promoting services and upselling rooms
• Ensuring safety : Monitoring guest entries
• Maintaining records : Keeping records of guests who have stayed in the hotel
• Communicating with other departments : Developing a positive working relationship with other departments
• Managing staff : Overseeing front desk staff, ensuring they are trained and knowledgeable
• Preparing schedules : Ensuring full staffing at the front desk at all times
• Troubleshooting : Finding suitable outcomes for emergency situations
