:Job PurposeJob Purpose Description1. Production/Operations: Co-ordinate, Plan and monitor various activities to achieve budgeted targets of production volumes with specified quality within time schedule.

• Plan and mobilize resources for plant operation
• Monitor and Implement production processes and ensure marketing schedules are also met
• Coordinate to ensure optimum plant performance for achieving targets
• Monitor plant performance parameters on daily basis and take immediate corrective actions if required
• Motivate team for making improvement through initiatives
• Monitor following of Standard Operating Procedures
• Share management decisions/plans down the line for better execution.

2. Operational efficiency & Continuous Improvement: Monitor and analyze the process conditions to improve the operational efficiency and energy conservation to achieve higher productivity.

• Review the performance against set targets
• Implement the synergy schemes
• Optimize the equipment loading for maximum through put
• Analyze the process parameters and simulate it in various conditions
• Search internet for latest development and technology changes in the world and formulate schemes accordingly
• Apply different problem solving tools to reduce the breakdowns
• Strictly monitor process parameter deviations
• Debottleneck and follow SOPs to avoid any damages
• Plan for maintenance & shutdowns in coordination with Maintenance department
• Support the team in resource management.
• Plan for PM of critical equipments associated with ETP & STP
• To review analysis of root cause, Cordinatte with operation team for modifications of norms, OEM Suppliers, External specialists to help and resolve critical problems

3. Planning & Budgeting, Cost Control and improvements:Analyze maintenance expenditure Implement and Execute quality improvement plan for cost optimization

• Plan for improvement by analysing budget expenses on monthly basis .
• Organize measures in modification for cost reduction
• Data collection and Analysis will help to reduce inventory & Spare part cost.
• Optimize inventory.to minimize the budget while ensuring risk and safety.
• Interact with vendors, contractors, OEM suppliers for technical discussions to freeze technical specification & scope of supply for procurement at optimum cost
• Provide inputs in Planning& Budgeting for the Section.
• Plan and manage to avoid repetitive and recurring nature of failure, machines and system strengthening are to be planned

4. Project Execution (If Any):Plan, coordinate & monitor execution of various projects & schemes related to Electrical so that they are completed within the stipulated time & budget.

• Preparation of estimation for various projects & schemes for Process Equipments & Accessories and for project evaluation
• Assist project team in preparation of project schedule
• Support in planning & execution of projects, schemes, and major maintenance requirements as per the target
• Perform Debottlenecking for Process equipment problems by interaction with suppliers and identifying alternate methods.

5. Product Quality & Customer Service:Support for implementation of agreed process parameters for quality requirements as per customer needs

• Close monitoring of process and quality parameters
• Maintain products quality parameters as per marketing requirements (within process limits)
• Oversee the implementation of corrective actions to remove customer complaints
• Provide necessary support to customers and Initiate corrective actions

6. System Management (Safety, Sustainability & WCM):Monitor adherence to statutory compliance related to Safety, Health and Environment & Sustainability and systems like IMS, WCM and ISO

• Supervise, monitor and implement IMS 9001, 14001, 50001, SA 8000, OHSAS 18001 & WCM practices & other systems in the plant
• Support and implement periodic sustainability audits as directed by Sustainability Cell and other audits
• Monitor processes for accident free operations/ Maintenance and compliance of all safety requirements as stipulated by the Factories Act & environment related statutory requirements
• Ensure training of team to handle emergency situations like Liquid Chlorine leakages etc. under Disaster Management activities
• Ensure safe working conditions & practices. Ensure implementation of safety procedures, audit points measures & ensure training on safety measures.
• Ensure all activities related to ISO 9001 & ISO14001 for the department are carried out timely and properly and documents are updated
• Encourage employees for participation in Kaizen, Suggestion Scheme, etc. and ensure implementation of audit findings
• Review daily abnormalities & ensure for corrective action.
• Review counter measures recommended during interdepartmental audits.

7. People Development:Maintain a congenial work culture by effective management of people to improve productivity, growth & motivation levels of employees to institutionalize best organizing practices in the Unit

• Set performance targets & KRAs and conduct performance assessment, training need identification of team members and communicate role clarity to each one
• Maintain discipline and grievance handling of the team
• Inculcate in team the group values/policies/ vision/ mission & objectives
• Motivate employees for stretch targets through team building and two-way communication
• Co-ordinate with HR Team for monitoring the development of team
• Recommend trainings for skill development and ensure development of team members
• Implement HR practices and maintain shop floor discipline
• Oversee the training is being given to identified persons for reducing skill gap
• Provide technical support to team on various issues
• Monitor the deployment of manpower resources, with the intention of controlling OT without affecting the smooth running of plant
• Take lead for multi skilling by deploying man power for task oriented jobs.
