Job Description

:Job Purpose1. Plan, organize and maintain IT solutions, analyzing & facilitate data for processing and maintain data and hardware for the plant to ensure uninterrupted and easy availability of information in line with the corporate IT Policy.
2. Plan, participate in design & maintenance of manufacturing related dashboards integrating DCS, IIOT & MIS.
3. Design implement to maintain manufacturing solutions for HCL chem transport, tracking, RFID, packing to labelling closely working with instrument team.

Chemicals Business of Aditya Birla Group produces Chlor-Alkali products among other Chemicals through seven units situated in different parts of the country. This is the Eighth unit which is under project phase. ABG is largest producer of Chlor Alkali in India with a market share of approx.30%.One of its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities is based at BBPURAM having the capacity to produce 400 TPD of Caustic. The Unit also produces Chlorine derivate namely Chlorinated Paraffins (CP, Stable Bleaching Powder (SBP) & Monochord Acetic Acid (MCA)The unit, located in the East Godavari Dist. of AP state, is poised for an ambitious growth.Major Challenges

• Interfacing with various co-owners of the systems like Finance, Logistics, Instrumentation and Business IT
• Being up-to-date with all technology aspects

KRA1 General administration: Ensure overall administration of all IT activities (software, hardware and networking) Take overall charge of administration of IT Activities: Software, Hardware and Networking

• Ensure uninterrupted operations of the SAP ERP systems to support the Business requirement
• Always have Common Master Data, Processes and Outputs in place
• Coordinate with SAP Core Team, other Chemicals unit IT as well as ERP coordinators
• Put in place necessary basic infrastructure like proper power, air conditioning, dust-proofing, etc. for the critical equipment like Servers, LAN/WAN equipment, etc.

KRA10 System management of all digital manufacturing related initiativesSAP Backbone Design suitable interfacing systems

• Interface with manufacturing data
• Provide accurate & timely data

• Maintain integrity & functionality of SAP backbone for financial transactions

KRA2 Network Uptime: Ensure and Monitor uptime of LAN and WAN to meet the Business requirements Ensure the uptime of LAN, bandwidth and WAN (for VC, Mail Server, Anti-Virus Server, Active Directory Server, VPN User, DR Server) so as to meet the business requirement

• Coordinate with central IT team for any support/Approval
• Monitor and check monthly bases report of MPLS/Antivirus

KRA3 Continuous improvement and implementation: Continuously maintain and improve the existing systems in line with the Business/Group Policies Upgrade, maintain and continuously improve the existing legacy systems as per market updates/business requirement/changes made by Business IT/ Group IT

• Implement various systems and Policies as developed and assigned by Business / Group level IT
• Coordinate with other departments for various requirements
• Provide inputs pertaining to all IT requirements to Commercial team while exploring and finalizing the Vendors and provide support in negotiation pertaining to IT specification
• Call vendor for meeting with functional/department team
• Discuss for work scope, planning, agreement and negotiation
• Implement and review the new systems/processes
• Generate reports, prepare documentation and MIS

KRA4 System Development: Develop a suitable new system in order to facilitate users and minimize manual work Be equipped with the present system and conduct user requirement analysis for a new system

• Develop suitable new systems as and when required in order to facilitate users and minimize manual work
• Conduct project/system testing
• Put the system in automation and manage all modifications

KRA5 License Compliance: Ensure compliances and availability of valid licenses for all available software/hardware Ensure all installed software have valid licenses

• Ensure annual maintenance contracts wherever necessary for usage support
• Procure new licenses where required
• Uninstall unwanted/without license software from the user machines
• Take approvals and certificates for applications which are required by users

KRA6 System Security: Put in place a reliable security and authorization system to eliminate damage or loss to data Ensure the availability of the Disaster Recovery system so as to ensure the continuity of the Application as per business requirement with minimum downtime

• Ensure Database security, file security and virus security
• Safeguard Database, files from physical / logical damages
• Prevent Illegal usage of soft wares prohibited in compliance with Corporate IT Policy
• Arrange daily Secured Back-up of Database in duplicate and the file server once in a fortnight
• Monitor and put Internet access controls, E-mail Spam controls and Junk e-mail controls

KRA7 Customer Satisfaction: Improve the satisfaction level of internal customers in line with organizational needs / Corporate Policy Provide support pertaining to IT systems to all internal customers in smooth discharge of their accountability

• Upgrade machines as per user requirements
• Monitor user complaints regularly
• Discuss with users time to time for their satisfaction
• Analyze complaints and monitor complaint redressal time
• Analyze & implement solutions
• Ensure proper training of all users in all modules

KRA8 Planning & Budgeting: Prepare, monitor and control the Planning & Budgeting of the IT department to optimize operating costs and meet business requirements Prepare and plan the normal budget as well as Capex pertaining to IT department and submit the same to the competent authority for further processing

• Monitor the duly approved normal budget and ensure the implementation of the Capex

Adhere to safety & statutory environmental requirements Adhere to safety norms & safe operational procedures
