Key Responsibilities:

Welcome patients, visitors, and staff with a friendly and professional demeanor. Provide a warm and welcoming environment, ensuring their comfort and addressing their immediate needs.

Manage incoming calls, inquiries, and appointment requests. Schedule patient appointments, ensuring accuracy in timing, availability. Coordinate with medical staff and other departments as needed.

Accurately register new patients, collect necessary personal and medical information, and ensure all required forms and documentation are completed. Verify insurance coverage, obtain necessary authorizations, and collect co-payments or other fees.

Assist patients with the check-in process, including verifying demographic and insurance information, updating records. Process proper documentation and completion of billing procedures.

Maintain a professional and efficient communication system, including answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, relaying messages to appropriate personnel, and handling mail and email correspondence. Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information.

Handle financial transactions, including collecting payments, issuing receipts, and reconciling cash. Provide support for billing and insurance inquiries.

Maintain accurate patient records, both electronic and paper-based, ensuring proper organization, filing, and storage. Update patient information as necessary, adhering to privacy and data protection regulations.

Assist with various administrative tasks, such as organizing documents, managing office supplies, coordinating meetings, and maintaining a tidy reception area. Collaborate with other inter departments to facilitate smooth operations and support their administrative needs when required.

Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries, resolving complaints or issues, and ensuring a positive and professional experience. Communicate with empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity.

Follow clinical protocols in emergency situations, such as fire alarms, security breaches, or medical emergencies. Remain calm, assist with evacuation procedures, and alert the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent (some hospitals may require post-secondary education or certification).

Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role is preferred, especially in a healthcare or hospital setting.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals, including patients, families, medical staff, and colleagues.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Proficiency in using computer systems, electronic health records (EHR), and office software applications.

Pay: ?8,969.25 - ?18,500.00 per month
