Role Overview:
As a Front Desk Executive at Shalom Backpackers Hostel, you will be the face of our community-driven brand, ensuring smooth hostel operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This multifaceted role combines hospitality management, sales, quality assurance, guest relations, and accounts management, creating a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:Clause A: Front Desk Management
• Guest Operations
• Handle check-in and check-out formalities seamlessly, ensuring an excellent first and last impression.
• Provide a comprehensive briefing on hostel structure, amenities, and community activities.
• Hostel Operations
• Oversee hostel management, including repairs and maintenance (R&M), staffing, and subscription services.
• Proficiently manage front desk software and guest-related bookkeeping.
• Policy & Communication
• Understand and adhere to company policies while ensuring clear communication across teams and guests.
Clause B: Sales Generation
• Sales Channels
• Gain expertise in various sales channels to maximize bookings and ancillary revenue.
• Street Smartness
• Use creative and practical approaches to identify opportunities and drive sales growth.
Clause C: Quality Management
• Quality Assurance
• Maintain the highest quality standards across seven parameters: cleanliness, staff, comfort, value for money, facilities, amenities, and location.
• Staff Oversight
• Regularly monitor the performance of housekeeping and other staff to ensure operational excellence.
Clause D: Guest Relations
• Community Building
• Foster a 'Be a Friend' attitude, embodying the Shalom Backpackers community culture.
• Feedback & Reviews
• Actively engage with guests to gather feedback, address concerns, and exceed expectations.
• Street Smartness
• Use resourcefulness to ensure customer satisfaction, even in challenging situations.
Clause E: Accounts Management
• Bookkeeping
• Maintain accurate financial records through EZEE and Day Book software.
• Financial Reporting
• Prepare timely financial reports for management.
• Cash Handling
• Manage cash transactions and ensure the smooth functioning of payment portals.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Proficiency in front desk management software (e.g., EZEE).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• A guest-centric attitude with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Street-smart and solution-oriented personality.
