Key Responsibilities:
• Guest Reception and Check-in/Check-out :
• Greet guests as they arrive at the front desk with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Efficiently handle the check-in and check-out process, ensuring accuracy in guest details, room allocation, and payment.
• Provide guests with relevant information regarding hotel services, local attractions, and amenities.
• Customer Service :
• Act as the first point of contact for all guest inquiries, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and courteously.
• Respond to guest queries related to booking details, requests for room service, or additional amenities.
• Ensure that guest needs are met, including any special requests or accommodations.
• Administrative Duties :
• Maintain accurate records of guest reservations, arrivals, departures, and room availability.
• Update guest information in the hotel management system and ensure all records are up to date.
• Handle phone calls, emails, and other communications professionally, relaying messages and transferring calls as needed.
• Cash and Payment Handling :
• Accurately process guest payments, including credit card transactions, cash payments, and other financial transactions.
• Issue invoices and receipts as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and ensure no discrepancies in the cash drawer.
• Coordination with Other Departments :
• Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Relay guest requests for special services such as room cleaning, maintenance, or restaurant reservations to the respective departments.
• Assist in the coordination of guest check-ins/check-outs during peak hours, ensuring minimal waiting times.
• Problem Resolution :
• Handle complaints or issues raised by guests with professionalism and tact, striving for a resolution that satisfies both the guest and the hotel's policies.
• Report any significant issues or guest complaints to the management in a timely manner.
• Security and Safety :
• Ensure that the front desk area is secure, including verifying guest identification, and preventing unauthorized access to guest rooms.
• Be vigilant about safety protocols and assist guests in case of any emergency.
• General Duties :
• Keep the front desk area clean and organized at all times.
• Ensure proper functioning of equipment, including phones, computers, and booking systems.
• Participate in any training or workshops to stay updated with the hotel's operational procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Gender Preference : Male candidates only (due to operational requirements).
• Educational Qualification : High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in hospitality management is a plus.
• Experience : Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role is preferred, but freshers with strong communication skills are also encouraged to apply.
• Skills :
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English; proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-first attitude.
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and handle high-pressure situations.
Basic knowledge of hotel management software and cash handling.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Physical Requirements : Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks such as carrying guest luggage.
