Job Title: French Bakery Teacher

Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced French Bakery Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of French baking techniques, ingredients, and methods, and be able to effectively teach these skills to students of varying skill levels. This role involves both practical, hands-on instruction and theoretical learning in a classroom or workshop setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction & Demonstration:
• Teach students to prepare a variety of Cakes, French pastries, breads, and desserts, such as croissants, baguettes, eclairs, macarons, tarts, and more.
• Demonstrate the use of traditional and modern baking equipment and techniques.
• Provide students with hands-on training in the creation, baking, and decoration of bakery items.
Curriculum Development:
• Design and develop engaging lesson plans, including both theoretical and practical elements.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in French baking and incorporate them into the curriculum.
• Develop and implement assessment criteria to evaluate student progress and performance.
Classroom Management:
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
• Provide personalized feedback and support to students, helping them to improve their skills and build confidence.
Quality Control & Safety:
• Ensure that all bakery items produced during classes meet high standards of taste, texture, and presentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized teaching environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Instruct students on kitchen safety, hygiene, and proper use of tools and equipment.
Professional Development:
• Continuously improve personal knowledge of French baking through workshops, training, and professional networks.
• Attend industry events and stay informed on new products, tools, and techniques in French baking.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a pastry chef or baker specializing in French bakery items.
• Previous teaching experience in a culinary school or similar setting is highly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of French baking techniques and ingredients.
• Ability to break down complex techniques into easy-to-understand lessons.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Certification in Culinary Arts, Baking, or a related field is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
