Job Description

:

A Freight Broker with at least 6 months of experience is responsible for facilitating the transportation of goods by connecting shippers with carriers. This role involves supporting senior brokers, handling logistics tasks, and gaining experience in negotiation, customer service, and managing shipments. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the industry and an eagerness to learn and grow within the field.

Key Responsibilities:



Brokerage Support

: Assist in coordinating shipments between shippers and carriers, ensuring timely delivery. Communicate with carriers to confirm availability, negotiate rates, and manage load scheduling. Collaborate with senior brokers to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.

Shipment Coordination

: Prepare and verify shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, contracts) for accuracy. Track shipments and proactively communicate with shippers and carriers about status, delays, or changes. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and transportation requirements.

Customer Interaction

: Provide support to existing clients and carriers, offering prompt responses to inquiries. Handle basic customer service issues and escalate complex issues to senior brokers when necessary. Maintain ongoing communication with customers about their shipments.

Problem Solving

: Address and assist in resolving minor issues related to shipments, such as delays or minor miscommunications. Learn to quickly identify potential problems and suggest solutions under the guidance of more experienced brokers.

Compliance and Documentation

: Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Assist in managing invoices and payments, ensuring that customers and carriers are properly billed.

Skills and Qualifications:



Minimum 6 months of experience

in freight brokering, logistics, or a similar role. Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with clients and carriers. Basic negotiation and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Attention to detail and accuracy in managing shipment documents and information. Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, CRM tools); familiarity with logistics software is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively with a team, while being proactive in learning new skills.

Education and Experience

:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college education or coursework in logistics, supply chain management, or business is preferred.

At least 6 months of experience

in freight brokerage, logistics, or a related field.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ?63,320.60 per month

Schedule:

Fixed shift Monday to Friday US shift Weekend availability
